The Honeymoon is over. Long
live the honeymoon! Jill and I are back, safe and sound from Hawaii.
It was great. If I could only get our families to move there.
Here are some
pictures. They're here also.
9/21/2001
Joseph sent me some
pictures to post. They're up here.
Also accessible from here.
Jill is back at
work, albeit not at the Woolworth building which as of yesterday was
still cordoned off.
Alan, David and
Dad have sent their toasts
for posting posterity. The page is getting a little crowded and I may
have to put in some additional navigation device.
9/20/2001
Wow! I'm a married
man. Jill and I were delighted that so many of you were able to make
it out. So far nobody has complained about anything. I expect that's
common but it still feels good. We may have some pictures to post before
the honeymoon. Things are starting to normalize here. Barring any further
catastrophies...
I'm adding a Post
Wedding link. Most of the action will be on this and that page for
the next few weeks.
9/16/2001
Added post catastrophic
directions from GW and Verazano
Bridges. These are hand transcribed from paper after the fact. You might
want to check with AAA and a good map to be sure.
There is an excellent
chance that Jill's Dad and Stepmom WILL be at the wedding. We came home
after the Rehearsal to learn that they had gotten out of Germany and
were en-route to Pittsburgh. Last we heard from them they were in Philly
and just an hour train ride away. They may be tired but we will treat
them like the Heros they are.
My oldest friend
Paul Golob got in from Milan this afternoon with a similar story. Also
a Hero. It's going to be a super wedding.
The Auf-Ruf and
rehearsal went off wonderfully and we have opened the Ceremony to the
Shul Community. Come on over. We are rehearsed and ready to go.
L'chaim.

Special Bonus for
all those reading the web page! You can come to the Ceremony at 2:00pm
instead of 2:30pm. Doing this will allow you to hear my D'var Torah.
A few wonderfully appropo words about celebrating in the face of reality.
No other changes
in schedule or location. The guest list is morphing a bit and may change
more before we get married but Jill and I have suddenly (with the onset
of the Sabbath) found peace and contentment. We have made our preparations
and are ready to party.
Much of Jill's
family and Oregon crowd cannot make it. It is possible that Jill's Dad
and stepmom will not be able to get in from Germany. We hired a video
technician to shoot the wedding.

The No-Host Gathering
for out of town guests is Cancelled! See the link for more information.
If you've come from out of town and want to see us before the wedding
contact us.
We are asking our
out of town guests NOT TO FLY. After yesterday's (possibly incorrect)
news of imposters at the airport we have lost current confidence in
air security. This touches us deeply as many of our closest friends
and family were comming from Oregon, Seattle, California, Denver, Great
Britain and Germany.
DSL is down in New
York so I have been managing this from my old laptop over a dial-up.
Please pardon the missing spell check.
I will try to post
driving directions for the wedding on Saturday Afternoon on the Brooklyn
page. As these are constantly changing this will be a challange and
I only have time to do it once. I understand that NY1.COM
under Transit Info and Closures is a good resource. I'll be using that
in addition to calling friends to put together whatever directions I
can. As of this morning, the Manhattan and the Williamsburg bridges
were open in both directions.
If you are coming
from New Jersey or anywhere else and would prefer to spend the night
in Brooklyn on either Friday and/or Saturday free accomodations have
been offered by members of our synagogue. Call us and we would be happy
to put you in touch.
I will try to post
new info this (Friday) and Saturday evening at 10:00pm.

Our families and
immediate circle of friends are all OK. We had one family member in
the Pentagon. He's fine.
WE HAVE ACCOMMODATIONS!!!
If your hotel is not able to put you up, get in touch with us. Our community
has come forward to offer its support and I'm told we could house more
than 50 people if we needed to.
We have opened the
wedding to children. We expect some people may not want to be separated
from their children at this time. Children are better than flowers for
brightening a room and our florist informs us that we may not be able
to get flowers. Don't worry, you can have the children back after the
wedding.
Brooklyn has been
quite safe this week and there will be no need to go through Manhattan
for those who do not wish to do so.

Jill and Daniel
are OK in light of the Terrorist Attacks. There has been no news of
any injury in our family or among our friends. Please join us in prayer
and in donating blood. As of now all plans are still the same regarding
the wedding.

The menu
is now available for your perusal.
I added a text navigation
menu
I added an animated
GIF of the Jill/Daniel Picture
I've added a Glossary
and links to it.
I added a nifty
bandwidth hogging movie
clip to the splash screen.
You've probably
received a flyer by now.
I've updated the
entire Site. I hope you like it. From now on the format will stay the
same. The info will change as the date approaches.
I've added information
about the Rehearsal. Check the Gatherings
page under "Saturday Afternoon".
I've added a picture
of the Chupah that Connie made for us. Check it out.
